Watch: Xochitl Gomez talks about the Multiverse Saga at the ‘Luck’ premiere in Los Angeles

Has the MCU star's wish been granted? Gomez chats exclusively with Hollywood First Look about the latest

MCU breakout star Xochitl Gomez has had a busy summer. In May, the theatrical release of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness took The Baby-Sitters Club star to a new dimension, as her character America Chavez took center stage.

Lately, more buzz has been surrounding the portal-punching superhero, with the excitement about the film’s digital release and with Marvel Studios’ Hall H presentation at San Diego Comic-Con. At the recent event, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige made updated announcements about Phases 4, 5, and 6 – collectively known as the Multiverse Saga.

Over the weekend, the 16-year-old was on-site in Los Angeles for the premiere of Luck, the animated film about an unlucky girl who stumbles into the Land of Luck and teams up with magical creatures to set things right. Directed by Peggy Holmes, the film stars Eva Noblezada, Simon Pegg, Jane Fonda, Whoopi Goldberg, Flula Borg, Lil Rel Howery, Colin O’Donoghue, John Ratzenberger, and Adelynn Spoon. It debuts on Apple TV+ on August 5.

Xochitl Gomez tells Hollywood First Look on the green carpet, “With all the news coming out, especially with Kevin Feige announcing Phase 6, that’s something we’ve never seen before. And also, I can’t really ignore the fact that America’s powers are traveling the Multiverse and the next chapter of the MCU is Multiverse Saga. I don’t know. Just fingers crossed. I haven’t got a call yet, so I’m just hoping,” Gomez laughs. “I could use a little bit of luck right now.”

Watch the excited MCU star cross her fingers and wish for a four-leaf clover in our exclusive interview.
