Watch: HAPPY HOLIDAYS From The Cast Of ‘Birds of Prey’

Margot Robbie, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Rosie Perez, and Ella Jay Basco want to wish you a happy holiday. The “Birds of Prey” cast joined forces to deliver a very special Season’s Greetings in preparation for their highly anticipated film, which hits theaters on February 7, 2020.

The trailer (also featured in the clip) teases the excitement behind the assemblage of Harley Quinn (Robbie), Huntress (Winstead), Black Canary (Smollett-Bell), and Renee Montoya (Perez), as they set out to rescue Cassandra Cain (Basco) from Black Mask (Ewan McGregor).

The DC superhero film has earned a solid R-rating, promising to take these characters to the extreme. Robbie reprises her role from 2016’s “Suicide Squad,” and also serves as producer. Led by director Cathy Yan and writer Christina Hodson, the girl gang here seems to expand beyond what you’ll see on screen.

“Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)” boasts some serious female empowerment themes. Now that Harley and the Joker have split, teaming up with a bunch of badass babes to save another young girl from an evil crime lord, is the surest way she’ll get her groove back. Or, as we hope, find an entirely different groove in Gotham.

The movie also stars Ali Wong and Chris Messina.
