Warner Bros. Pictures Drops Trailer for Aquaman Sequel

Audiences finally have a glimpse into the upcoming Aquaman sequel as Warner Bros. Pictures has released the trailer for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.

The trailer finds Arthur Curry, or Aquaman, in a new role as a dad when an old enemy, Black Manta, returns wielding the powerful black trident, threatening his family and everything he’s built. To help defeat this new threat, Aquaman must team up with his former nemesis, his brother Orm. Whereas the first film focused on the relationship between Aquaman and his love interest Mera, this second film will focus on the relationship between brothers as Director Jason Wan told Entertainment Weekly.

All the actors in major roles are returning to reprise their roles, including Jason Momoa (Aquaman), Patrick Wilson (Orm), Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Black Manta), Nicole Kidman (Atlanna), Dolph Lundgren (King Nereus), Temuera Morrison (Tom Curry), and Randall Park (Dr. Stephen Shin). Ben Affleck is also set to reprise his DC role as Batman and make an appearance in the film.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom lands in theaters just in time for Christmas on Dec. 20.
