Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Entertainment Releases Highly Anticipated ‘Dune: Part Two’ Trailer

Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Entertainment have just released the trailer for Dune: Part Two, the sequel to the wildly successful Dune.

Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya return to reprise their lead roles as Paul Atreides and Chani. Newcomers to the franchise are Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan Corrino, Christopher Walken as Emperor Shaddam IV, and Austin Butler as Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen.

In the trailer, Chalamet’s Paul Atreides is seen taking on a more leadership role among the Fremen people and riding a sandworm for the first time. Viewers also get a glimpse of Butler’s villainous character, who belongs to House Harkonnen.

Chalamet spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about his character’s transformation in this new film, “In the first movie, Paul is a student,” he said. “We really see Paul Atreides become a leader … become a redeemer of the Fremen people in a sense,” he added.

Other stars returning to Arrakis are Rebecca Ferguson as Lady Jessica Atreides, Josh Brolin as Gurney Halleck, Dave Bautista as Glossu Rabban Harkonnen, Stellan Skarsgård as Baron Vladimir Harkonnen, and Javier Bardem as Stilgar.

Denis Villeneuve returns to direct the second part of the franchise. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter about this new installment in the saga, he said, “Part One is more of a contemplative movie. Part Two is an action-packed, epic war movie.”

Dune: Part Two will open in theaters on Nov. 3.
