Victoria Monét Debuts Original Song ‘Power of Two’ for Lucasfilm’s “The Acolyte” on Disney+

Disney+ subscribers and Star Wars enthusiasts are in for a musical treat as Victoria Monét, the acclaimed Grammy® Award-winning singer-songwriter, unveils her latest creation, “Power of Two. This original end-credit song is featured in Lucasfilm’s new Star Wars series, “The Acolyte, now streaming exclusively on Disney+.

Co-written by Monét herself alongside Oscar® and Grammy® Award-winning producer D’Mile, and renowned composer Michael Abels (Get Out and Us), “Power of Two captures the essence of the Star Wars universe while complementing the narrative arc of The Acolyte. Available on all streaming platforms starting June 14, the song promises to resonate deeply with fans as they delve into the series’ dark and mysterious storyline.

Reflecting on her involvement, Victoria Monét expressed her excitement and honor at being part of the iconic Star Wars franchise. “Having my song be a part of ‘The Acolyte is such an honor, she remarked. “D’Mile and I had a great time creating this song, and I can’t wait for everyone to hear how it intertwines with the overall storyline.”

In The Acolyte, viewers are drawn into a gripping tale set against the backdrop of a shocking crime spree. The series pits a respected Jedi Master, played by Lee Jung-jae, against a formidable warrior from his past, portrayed by Amandla Stenberg. As the narrative unfolds, sinister forces come to light, revealing layers of deception and intrigue that challenge the very core of the Jedi Order.

Joining Stenberg and Jung-jae in the cast are Manny Jacinto, Dafne Keen, Charlie Barnett, Jodie Turner-Smith, Rebecca Henderson, Dean-Charles Chapman, Joonas Suotamo, and Carrie-Anne Moss, each bringing their talents to enrich the series’ immersive storytelling.

The Acolyte is created by Leslye Headland, with Kathleen Kennedy, Simon Emanuel, Jeff F. King, and Jason Micallef serving as executive producers. The series is part of Disney+’s expanding lineup of exclusive Star Wars content, continuing to captivate audiences with its unique blend of mythology, action, and character-driven drama.
