‘The Larry David Story’ Debuts March 1

The two-part documentary will be available to stream on HBO Max

Don’t curb your desire to watch funnyman Larry David’s newest documentary on his rise to fame. The HBO miniseries will rewind on the legendary comic’s life story and how he turned his talent into a longstanding career in Hollywood. The two-part series will see interviews with David’s contemporaries as well as former co-stars and delve into his life, following his road to success from “Seinfeld” to “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” The episodes are titled “The American Jewboy” and “The Jewish Fountainhead.” HBO has released a teaser trailer showing David engaged in a captivating chat with his longtime friend and collaborator, Larry Charles.

Larry David has been in the entertainment industry for over three decades. He’s a multi-talented producer, writer, and comedian. David co-created “Seinfeld” alongside Jerry Seinfeld and rose to fame for his infamously cynical take on life. The 74-year-old comedian is now giving fans a peek into his personal and professional highs and lows. The two-part documentary looks at the humble beginnings of an “unfunny Brooklyn kid” and follows his rise as America’s favorite misanthrope.

David has two Primetime Emmy Awards under his belt for his work on “Seinfeld” where he leads in Outstanding Comedy Series and Outstanding Individual Achievement in Writing a Comedy Series. The show ran for nine seasons before it ended in 1998. “Curb Your Enthusiasm” premiered in 2000 on HBO and has been nominated for an astounding 47 Primetime Emmy Awards. It just completed its 11th season.

“The Larry David Story” is directed by Larry Charles. Charles also serves as executive producer alongside Mark Herzog. The documentary premieres on March 1 at 9 pm on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max.
