Robert Pattinson and Zoë Kravitz have helped Warner Bros/DC’s “The Batman” make its way past the $500 million mark worldwide. This puts the movie at the No.4 spot as the highest-grossing film since the pandemic began. It earned another nod today, officially becoming the highest-grossing movie ever made about a serial killer in North America and worldwide. So far, in total, the film has made $258.3 million at the domestic box office and $247.5 million at the international box office – making the global total through Wednesday, $505.8 million. The movie was made on a $185 million budget.
“The Batman” still has an opportunity to make it further with the film premiering in China this Friday. It premiered early (March 1) in Korea. That first weekend, in 74 overseas markets, it made $124.2 million. Following in the footsteps of “Spider-Man: No Way Home” and “No Time To Die,” “The Batman” is projected to continue to soar to great heights. According to Deadline, the Caped Crusader lands on HBO Max in late April.
“The Batman” is directed by Matt Reeves. The film stars include Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Peter Sarsgaard, Andy Serkis, and Colin Farrell. Batman’s past iterations include Christopher Reeve, George Clooney, Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, Ben Affleck, Christian Bale, and Adam West. Will Arnett also starred in the Lego version.
