Sundance Award Winner ‘Bedford Park’ Sets March 2027 Release Date

Sony Pictures Classics has set March 5, 2027, as the theatrical release date for Bedford Park, the feature directorial debut of Stephanie Ahn, following its award-winning premiere at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival.

The film made an impression at Sundance, taking home the U.S. Dramatic Special Jury Award for Debut Feature. Before its nationwide release, Bedford Park will receive an awards-qualifying theatrical run in New York and Los Angeles this December.

The film follows a Korean American woman caught between her family’s expectations and her own dreams, whose life unexpectedly becomes intertwined with a former wrestler struggling to make peace with his past. As their worlds collide, both must decide whether to continue living by the circumstances that shaped them or finally take a chance on what they truly want.

The cast includes Moon Choi (A Girl with Closed Eyes), Son Sukku (Nine Puzzles), Won Mi Kyung (Our Unwritten Seoul), Kim Eung Soo (Once Upon a Time), and Jefferson White (Yellowstone).

Ahn’s directorial debut has already made its way through the international festival circuit, with selections at the Toronto International Film Festival and Busan International Film Festival. The film also celebrates its Los Angeles premiere at AFI FEST on October 24, with a post-screening conversation featuring Ahn and Choi.

Behind the scenes, Bedford Park brings together an impressive producing team, including Gary Foster, Chris S. Lee, Nina Yang Bongiovi, Theresa Kang, Son Sukku, and Russ Krasnoff.

Exploring family expectations, identity, second chances, and the courage to choose your own path, Bedford Park aims to deliver a deeply personal story many audiences can relate to.

Bedford Park opens in theaters March 5, 2027, following its December 2026 awards-qualifying run in New York and Los Angeles.
