Streaming Sensation at 66: Tricia Connor Jackson’s Breakout Role in Amazon MGM’s ‘Shopping Court’
At 66, Tricia Connor Jackson is proving there’s no expiration date on a dream. Once a high-level executive for Fortune 500 giants like Procter & Gamble and Nestlé, Tricia walked away from a corporate career—and an emotionally abusive marriage—to pursue something totally unexpected: the spotlight.
Now, the former VP-turned-actress is making waves on Amazon Live’s new streaming series Shopping Court, where she plays a product-reviewing juror alongside iconic drag superstar Bianca Del Rio. The show premiered on June 5, and if you missed it, no worries. The fun is still streaming on Amazon Live via Prime Video.
“I used to sell products. Now I am the product,” Tricia laughs. “And it turns out, I can do it!”
She most certainly can.
From Boardrooms to Broadcast
Tricia built her first act in marketing, sales, and merchandising—rising through the ranks of Procter & Gamble, Naturalizer, Nestlé, and Stride Rite, where she helped shape consumer brands. But after weathering a painful nine-year second marriage riddled with emotional abuse, she left in 2020 with just her savings, Christmas decorations, and a Ford Explorer full of hope.
“I left with nothing. No fork, no spoon, no can opener,” she recalls. “But I knew if I stayed, the stress would kill me.”
She moved to Spokane, WA, became a substitute teacher, and started rebuilding. Then came an unexpected encounter at a bar that changed everything.
“A stranger asked me if I was a model. I thought he was hitting on me,” she says with a smile. “But he was serious.”
She uploaded some photos to a talent app. Gave herself a one-year, $10,000 budget to try something new. And just like that, Tricia Connor Jackson was on her way.
Humble Beginnings, Hollywood Hustle
There were no glam squads in the beginning—just Super 8 motels, microwave meals, and audition after audition.
“I lived in a 10×20 foot room in Montebello on a trundle bed,” she says. “But I was working. And I believed in myself.”
Since then, Tricia has modeled for over 290 brands, starred in 37 films, and now co-stars in Shopping Court—a zany, high-energy Amazon Live show where quirky products get their day in court.
“I’m 66, and every day feels like a gift,” she says. “I never dreamed of this life—but I’m living it and loving every moment.”
Her performance alongside Bianca Del Rio adds heart and humor to the show, which blends courtroom parody with shoppable content delivered in real-time through Amazon Live.
What’s Next? A Fashion Mogul… Who Turns Into a Dog
Tricia’s next big move? The upcoming proof-of-concept film Barked Up, written and directed by José Ramos. Tricia stars as a high-powered fashion mogul who mysteriously transforms into a dog, navigating personal transformation in the most unexpected way.
It’s a perfect metaphor for the arc of her real-life story: change, challenge, and reinvention.
“My life is a tapestry,” she says. “Some parts are beautiful, some are awful—but together, it’s mine. And I’m proud of it.”
Love and Second Chances
Tricia is now in a deeply supportive relationship with Mark Steilen, a Golden Globe-winning writer known for There’s Something About Mary, Mozart in the Jungle, and Tag.
“He’s been in the business for 40 years,” Tricia says. “He encourages me every single day.”
On Reinvention, Age, and Owning Your Story
What does she say to women wondering if it’s too late?
“Stop hiding. Stop apologizing for your story,” she says. “We are the lucky ones who’ve lived long enough to reinvent ourselves. Make it matter.”
“Your happiness matters more than your handbag. Take the walk. Make the art. Try the thing. And remember—your relevance is a choice.”
She’s proof that even after heartbreak, loss, and reinvention, joy is possible—and it’s never too late to start again.
