Paramount Pictures has released the official poster and new images for Gladiator II, one of the most anticipated films of the year.
This new chapter takes place years after the first film ends and follows the story of Lucius (Mescal) as a grown-up who appears to become a gladiator despite his noble birth.
Ridley Scott also helms the sequel, which stars Paul Mescal, Pedro Pascal, Joseph Quinn, Fred Hechinger, Lior Raz, Derek Jacobi, Connie Nielsen, and Denzel Washington. Walter Parkes, Laurie MacDonald, Raymond Kirk, and Aidan Elliott are executive producers, while Scott, Douglas Wick, Lucy Fisher, Michael Pruss, and David Franzoni serve as producers. David Scarpa wrote the screenplay.
Gladiator II is expected to hit theaters on Nov. 22.
