PaleyFest LA makes a triumphant return to the Dolby Theatre in 2022
The world’s leading television festival will feature a star-studded lineup from April 2-10, 2022, in Los Angeles
PaleyFest LA 2022 will mark the first time in three years that the non-profit will be hosting the premier television festival in person. In its 39th year, PaleyFest returns to its home at the Dolby Theatre, calling on some of the biggest names in entertainment to celebrate the occasion. A number of fan favorites will be championing this year’s lineup.
The schedule will include “This Is Us” (NBC and Twentieth Television), “Superman & Lois” (The CW and Warner Bros. Television), “black-ish” (ABC and ABC Signature), “Ghosts” (CBS and Lionsgate Television), “The Neighborhood” (CBS), “Hacks” (HBOMax and Universal Television), “Cobra Kai” (Netflix and Sony Pictures Television), “Riverdale” (The CW and Warner Bros. Television), “Better Call Saul” (AMC and Sony Pictures Television), A Salute to the “NCIS” Universe celebrating “NCIS,” “NCIS: Los Angeles,” and “NCIS: Hawai’i” (CBS and CBS Studio), and “Emily in Paris” (Netflix).
The 2022 festival will feature a few milestone moments, bringing things full circle, as PaleyFest has played an active role in the lifespan of some of these shows. “This Is Us” and “black-ish” will help kick off the week. Both are in their final season. In previous years, both premiered at PaleyFest Fall TV Previews before the shows even aired.
The “NCIS” event, which will be taking place on the festival’s final day, welcomes cast members that span the “NCIS” Universe, making it one of the biggest events Paley Center has ever done. Fans will get three different shows, all on one stage. Expected guest appearances include Wilmer Valderrama, Gary Cole, Chris O’Donnell, LL COOL J, Vanessa Lachey, and Noah Mills.
That same day, Netflix’s hit show “Emily in Paris” will be closing out PaleyFest. On January 10, the streaming giant confirmed after a successful two seasons, the fun and flirty series would be returning for a third and fourth. Darren Star’s Emmy-nominated romantic comedy was another on Paley Center’s long list of greats that appeared during a Fall TV Preview. However, since going virtual in March of 2020, no in-person “Emily in Paris” events have ever taken place. This occasion looks to be the first time they’ll do an event with the public.
Rene Reyes, VP of Public Programming and Festivals at the Paley Center for Media, says you can expect a lot of fun on stage. “When these stars come out, they know the only objective of our PaleyFest events is to celebrate the show,” Reyes tells Hollywood First Look. “It’s just about the love of TV.”
