The film’s absurd premise and brisk pace make for a fun ride. If you’re looking for an action film that feels fresh and original, “Novocaine” delivers. From the start, the story pulls you in with unpredictable twists and smart storytelling and doesn’t rely on clichés or over-the-top CGI effects—just sharp writing, real stakes, and a thrilling sense of momentum.
While Quaid and Midthunder give excellent performances, it’s Ray Nicholson as Simon who steals the show. He delivers a fun, yet volatile and menacing performance that leaves a lasting impression.
“Novocaine” is a rare gem. It’s smart, exciting, and refreshingly original. If you want something that breaks the mold, this is a must-watch.
