Netflix’s ‘Dahmer’ Beats ‘Squid Game’ to become streamer’s most-watched show in one week

The series, “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story”, surpassed “Squid Game” and “Bridgerton” as the most-watched show within its first week. The 10-episode series has been watched over a half-billion times. The gruesome retelling of the Jeffrey Dahmer murders continues to hit streaming records on the platform.
Created by Glee’s Ryan Murphy, the show follows one of America’s most notorious and brutal serial killers who ate his victims. “Monster” debuted on September 21 to an audience of 196.2 million. The show stars Evan Peters and chronicles the shocking murders of 17 young men and boys at the hands of the Milwaukee killer between 1978 and 1991.
Peters, 35, said that he was “scared” to take on the role due to Dahmer’s horrific past, saying he had to go mentally to “dark places” to give an authentic portrayal.
