The third time is the charm for Paramount Pictures’ wildly successful film series, “A Quiet Place,” helmed by actor John Krasinski. The studio just announced that the third installment has been greenlit for 2025 along with the family-friendly, hybrid animation film “Sonic the Hedgehog.”
So far, no other details have been revealed, including whether or not writer-director John Krasinski, wife Emily Blunt, and others will be returning. The first and second films from the franchise grossed nearly $300 million globally, an incredible milestone considering the scaled-back presentations due to the pandemic.
Although “Sonic the Hedgehog 2″ has not even been released yet in theatres, Paramount announced that the third installment is greenlit as well. “Sonic the Hedgehog 2″ will be released on April 8. The original was a surprise hit with $319 million globally. Jim Carrey is set to return, alongside James Marsden and Ben Schwartz.
