George Lopez has something to smile about! NBC has ordered nine additional episodes of his new hit comedy Lopez vs. Lopez, bringing the total to 22 episodes for the first season. This makes it the second scripted series this fall that has gotten full-season orders, with Quantum Leap being the other.
Lopez vs. Lopez centers around a working-class family that is dysfunctional, loving, and all the things in between that make a family strong. Lopez vs. Lopez is from creator/showrunner Debby Wolfe and stars George Lopez and his daughter Mayan Lopez, Selenis Leyva, Brice Gonzalez, Matt Shively, and Al Madrigal.
The series is the No. 1 NBC comedy launch on Peacock, and the pilot episode had 7.6 million viewers.
