“Toy Story” fans, unite! The filmmakers and stars behind Pixar’s newest animated film, “Lightyear,” gathered for a special night at Hollywood’s El Capitan Theatre to celebrate the studio’s 26th animated feature.
Actor Chris Evans, who voices Buzz Lightyear himself, was in attendance, along with Keke Palmer (Izzy Hawthorne), Peter Sohn (Sox), Dale Soules (Darby Steel), James Brolin (Zurg), Uzo Aduba (Alisha Hawthorne), Mary McDonald-Lewis (I.V.A.N.), Isiah Whitlock Jr. (Commander Burnside) and Efren Ramirez (Airman Díaz).
Other attendees included filmmakers Angus MacLane, producer Galyn Susman, Jason Headley, and Michael Giacchino. A slew of familiar faces came out to help celebrate, including Denise Crosby, Tiffany Haddish, Aaron Paul, Jon Voight, Ramona Young, and Skai Jackson among others.
“Lightyear” is the definitive origin story of the beloved “Toy Story” character Buzz Lightyear. The film opens in theaters on June 17, 2022.
