Jung Ho-yeon just made history by becoming the first East Asian woman to grace the cover of Vogue in the magazine’s 130-year history.

Appearing on the February issue is fashion model-turned-actress Jung Ho-yeon, who brought the role of  Kang Sae-byeok, or Player 067, to life in last year’s global sensation “Squid Game.” The actress rose to fame as the runner-up of season 4 of South Korea’s Next Top Model competition.

Vogue announced the news by tweeting a picture of the cover, along with an accompanying video profile on the 27-year-old actress, detailing her journey from catwalks to the international stage.

On Instagram alone, the actress gained 9 million followers within two weeks since the Korean thriller series “Squid Game” premiered on Netflix. Now, Jung has over 23.7 million followers on the social media platform.
