John Woo Returns with ‘The Killer’ – A Thrilling Reimagining Coming to Peacock This August

Acclaimed filmmaker John Woo (‘Face/Off,’ ‘Mission: Impossible II’) revives his iconic 1989 masterpiece, ‘The Killer,’ in a bold new vision. Set against the backdrop of Paris’s underworld, this kinetic action thriller stars Nathalie Emmanuel (‘The Fast Saga,’ ‘Game of Thrones’) as Zee, a feared assassin known as the Queen of the Dead. Her world is upended when a moral choice shatters alliances and draws the attention of both a determined police investigator played by Omar Sy (‘Jurassic World’ franchise) and a mysterious criminal conspiracy.

Joining Emmanuel and Sy is Sam Worthington (‘Avatar’), who plays Zee’s shadowy mentor and handler. The stellar cast includes Eric Cantona, Saïd Taghmaoui, Tchéky Karyo, and Grégory Montel, ensuring a tapestry of talent that enriches every scene.

Directed by John Woo and penned by a powerhouse team including Academy Award winner Brian Helgeland, the film is a collaboration of visionaries. Produced by industry titans Charles Roven, Alex Gartner, and John Woo, with executive producers Terence Chang, Mark Gordon, Matt Jackson, and Robin Mulcahy Fisichella, “The Killer” is set to captivate audiences worldwide.

You can catch “The Killer” exclusively on Peacock starting August 23. It promises an adrenaline-pumping journey into the heart of suspense and intrigue.
