From Low-Budget Films to Obsession: Cooper Tomlinson’s Hollywood Journey with Curry Barker
Hollywood First Look sits down with Cooper Tomlinson to talk about his horror film Obsession, directed by Curry Barker, where one man’s desperate wish for love unleashes terrifying consequences.
Cooper discusses playing Ian, his character’s understanding of Nikki’s true feelings, and how improvisation keeps his longtime collaboration with Curry fresh. He also reflects on their journey from making low-budget projects like Milk & Serial to watching Obsession become a theatrical success. Cooper shares why creating opportunities, rather than waiting for them, has always been their philosophy, and what working on The Dutton Ranch has taught him about other filmmakers’ creative processes.
