FIRST LOOK: Prime Video’s ‘The Power’

Prime Video has just released the key art and official trailer for its upcoming thriller The Power, a series based on Naomi Alderman’s New York Times best-selling novel.

The trailer gives a glimpse into the strange phenomenon spanning the globe in which teenage girls suddenly develop the power to electrocute people. What starts as a tingle in their collarbones leads to the upending of power dynamics in the world.  

Toni Collette stars as Mayor Margot Cleary-Lopez, John Leguizamo as Rob Lopez, and Auli’i Cravalho as Jos Cleary-Lopez. Toheeb Jimoh joins the cast as Tunde Ojo, Josh Charles stars as Daniel Dandon, Eddie Marsan is Bernie Monke, Ria Zmitrowicz is Roxy Monke, Zrinka Cvitešić is Tatiana Moskalev, and Halle Bush plays Allie Montgomery. 

Amazon Studios and Sister (Chernobyl) are producing the series, with Raelle Tucker (True Blood) serving as showrunner.  

The first three episodes of The Power will premiere on Prime Video on March 31.
