Focus Features has launched the trailer for Polite Society, an action comedy headed to the Sundance Film Festival from writer-director Nida Manzoor. The film will be released on Friday, April 28, and is billed as a mash-up of sisterly affection, parental disappointment, and bold action all in one. Martial artist Ria Khan (Priya Kansara) is convinced she must save her sister from her upcoming marriage and enlists her friends for help.
Polite Society will make its world premiere at Sundance on January 20. The film’s producers are Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, Olivier Kaempfer, and John Pocock. The cast includes Ritu Arya, Nimra Bucha, Akshay Khanna, Seraphina Beh, and Ella Bruccoleri.
