Julia Hart returns as director, giving us an extended look at the character based on Jerry Spinelli’s best-selling book. “Hollywood Stargirl” shows VanderWaal’s character leaving Arizona for Los Angeles, where her costume designer mother, Ana (Judy Greer), is hired to work on a movie. Once in the City of Angels, Stargirl carves out her own filmmaking journey with brothers Evan (Elijah Richardson) and Terrell (Tyrel Jackson Williams).

The cast also includes Judd Hirsch (Mr. Mitchell), one of Stargirl’s neighbors, and Uma Thurman, who plays Roxanne Martel, one of Stargirl’s musical idols.

With a grand hello to L.A., stepping into a new city and trying new things proves that anything is possible when your life is an adventure. March to your own beat, make your own music, sing your own song, and always follow your heart. Dream big, and you may find yourself among the stars.

In the first film, we learned that simple acts of kindness work magic in the lives of others. Now we get to see just how far Stargirl can go as the world around her and the opportunities surrounding her only get bigger.
