Vin Diesel Faces Off Against Jason Momoa in New ‘Fast X’ Official Trailer

The Fast X official trailer has been released, giving fans a glimpse into the next chapter in the Fast & Furious saga. True to form, the next installment promises to deliver loads of action, fighting, and, of course, car racing in one of the final chapters of the super-popular franchise.

In the trailer, fans hear from the new villain, Dante (Jason Momoa), as he narrates his plans to tear down everything Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) has built in revenge for Dom having taken everything from him. Dante is the son of Hernan Reyes, the Brazilian drug kingpin Dom and crew took out in 2011’s Fast Five. Now, twelve years later, Dante plans to make Dom pay dearly by going after the person Dom loves most, his son Bryan (Leo Abelo Perry).

The cast behind the beloved characters in Dom’s crew and family all return to reprise their roles, including Michelle Rodriguez (Letty Ortiz), Tyrese Gibson (Roman), Chris “Ludacris” Bridges (Tej), Nathalie Emmanuel (Ramsey), Jordana Brewster (Mia Toretto), John Cena (Jakob Toretto), Jason Statham (Deckard Shaw), Sung Kang (Han), Scott Eastwood (Little Nobody), and Oscar winners, Helen Mirren (Queenie) and Charlize Theron (Cipher).

Joining Momoa as newcomers to the franchise are Oscar winner Brie Larson as Tess, an Agency rogue representative; Alan Richtson, the new head of the Agency and Mr. Nobody’s (Kurt Russell) successor; Daniela Melchior (no character name listed) as a Brazilian street racer with ties to Dom’s past; and Oscar winner Rita Moreno as Abuelita Toretto, Dom, and Mia’s grandmother.

Fast X was directed by Louis Leterrier and written by Justin Lin, Zach Dean, and Dan Mazeau. Diesel and Lin were also producers on the film along with Neal H. Moritz, Jeff Kirschenbaum, and Samantha Vincent. Joseph M. Caracciolo, Jr., David Cain, Chris Morgan, Amanda Lewis, and Mark Bomback executive produced.

Fast X opens in theaters on May 19.
