Fan-favorite Jung Ho-yeon May Return to Squid Game Season 2

'Squid Game' creator Hwang Dong-hyuk made the announcement during the 2022 PGA Awards Ceremony

Jung Ho-yeon may find her way back into season 2 of “Squid Game.” Anything’s possible, and nothing is off the table. According to the series creator, Hwang Dong-hyuk, who is currently trying to develop ideas for season 2 of the South Korean survival drama, said he would consider bringing Jung back as a twin.

Hwang told Deadline in an interview that more games were coming. “I’m just still brainstorming and collecting the ideas for Season 2. I haven’t even started with the writing yet.”

Though many characters will not return because they were killed off, Hwang says he has something up his sleeve that could bring back some characters, hinting a twin could be the answer. Jung is certainly on board and jokingly says she could dye her hair or get a little plastic surgery to get the job done.

The newcomer, who starred as Kang Sae-byeok in “Squid Game,” recently took home the 2022 SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series, making her the second actress of Asian and Korean descent to nab an individual SAG Award. The series has been winning accolades all award season and remains the No. 1 watched series on Netflix.
