First Look: Harry Styles and Florence Pugh get cozy on screen

'Don't Worry Darling' hits theaters September 23, 2022

Don’t worry darlings, we’ve got the first look photo of Harry Styles and Florence Pugh right here.

Take a look in this direction at Harry Styles and Florence Pugh in the newest still released from their upcoming film, “Don’t Worry Darling.” The singer took over the role in the Olivia Wilde-helmed film after Shia LeBeouf had to exit the project due to scheduling conflicts. Wilde is also featured in a supporting role. “Don’t Worry Darling” is how Styles and Wilde met and fell in love. The “Booksmart” director reportedly did a “victory dance” when the One Direction singer signed on.

According to Deadline, while plot details have yet to be divulged, we know that the film “is set in an isolated, utopian community in the 1950s California desert.” Screenwriter Katie Silberman, teamed up again with Wilde after the two worked together on Wilde’s directorial debut “Booksmart.”

In the first official image that has been shared, Harry Styles and Oscar-nominated actress Florence Pugh are in bed, lovingly looking at each other — setting the scene for an intimate first glimpse of what’s to come. Wilde premiered the trailer at CinemaCon 2022.

Chris Pine (who stars as Frank) gushed about Styles’ work in the film. Pine said of the singer, “Harry Styles is an absolute delight. He’s one of the most professional people I’ve ever met. Couldn’t be kinder, more gracious, I mean, really, I was stunned by this kid. He’s off-the-charts cool.” He continued, “It’s a great cast. You know, life is short, so hopefully you get a chance to make good art with people you really enjoy, and I’ve been really, really lucky in that regard.”

Production has officially wrapped, and the film is expected to be released later this year on September 23, 2022.
