Hollywood First Look sits down with directors Addison Henderson and Kevin Polowy to talk about their Tubi documentary series Just One Before I Die, which follows the passionate Buffalo Bills fanbase known as Bills Mafia and explores why their loyalty runs much deeper than football.
Addison reflects on growing up in Buffalo and how documenting the fans gave him a newfound appreciation for the city’s incredible sense of community. Kevin shares memories of traveling to games with his father and brother during the team’s 17-year playoff drought, proving that sometimes the best memories have nothing to do with winning. The filmmakers also discuss the legendary tailgates, the heartbreak of repeated losses, and the powerful bond that keeps Bills Mafia coming back season after season. As Kevin explains, cheering for the Bills is ultimately about cheering for one another.
