The fourth time’s the charm! Sir Ben Kingsley is making his triumphant return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and reprising his role as Trevor Slattery in Wonder Man. The project will premiere on Disney+.
The potential series is in development and focuses on one of Marvel’s oldest characters, Simon Williams aka Wonder Man. Introduced in 1964 as a villain, he was later rewritten to be a hero a decade later. Wonder Man was a founding member of the West Coast Avengers in the ’80s, while Williams had a day job as an actor and stuntman.
This will be Kinglsey’s fourth appearance in the MCU, including Iron Man 3, All Hail the King and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Destin Daniel Cretton worked with Kingsley on Shang Chi and is the co-creator and executive producer of Wonder Man.
