Apple TV+’s ‘Stephen Curry: Underrated’ To Premiere at Sundance Film Festival

Apple TV+’s Stephen Curry: Underrated will have its world premiere at this year’s Sundance Film Festival on Jan. 19 – 29 in Park City, Utah. It will be one of the special screenings at the festival.

Stephen Curry: Underrated documents the rise to stardom of Golden State Warrior Stephen Curry from an undersized college player to a four-time NBA champion. Award-winning filmmaker Peter Nicks directed and produced the documentary, which includes intimate cinematic video, archival footage, and on-camera interviews. Ryan Coogler and Erick Peyton were also producers of the film.

Speaking about the addition of new films to the lineup, including Stephen Curry: Underrated, Kim Yutani, Sundance Film Festival Director of Programming, said, “These five new films round out our program in an exciting and emotional way. They are cinematic experiences that delight, entertain, and keep us on the edge of our seats. The works introduce us to new voices, along with directors we’re excited to welcome back to the festival,” per the Sundance Film Festival announcement.

Film tickets for in-person and online viewing go on sale on Jan. 12 at 10 am MST.
