Ali Wong teases new Netflix special
'Ali Wong: Don Wong' premieres on Valentine's Day
Our favorite Asian female comedian with retro eyewear is back! Ali Wong is returning to the platform that made her a household name with a new raw and racy installment. This will be her third Netflix original comedy special, and it will be titled “Ali Wong: Don Wong.” It premieres on February 14.
The special was filmed in November of last year at The Count Basie Theater in New Jersey. Nahnatchka Khan, who directed Wong and Randall Park in “Always Be My Maybe,” directs the new original, while Wong serves as executive producer, along with Ravi Nandan, Inman Young, Alli Reich, and Corey Deckler.
The “Baby Cobra” and “Hard Knock Wife” comedian talks about her wildest fantasies in this new installation and why it’s so hard to be faithful – appropriately releasing it just in time for Valentine’s Day. Wong is a UCLA alum and grew up in the Bay Area. Wong is slated to star opposite Oscar nominee Steven Yeun in an upcoming series titled “Beef.” Wong’s other projects include the upcoming “Paper Girls,” HBO Max’s “The Fungies,” and “Big Mouth.” Visit Netflix for more information on “Ali Wong: Don Wong.” Check out the new teaser!
