Ali Wong and her husband are calling it quits
The 'Hard Knock Wife' comedian splits from Justin Hakuta after 8 years
After eight years of marriage, It’s splitsville for beloved comedian Ali Wong and her husband, Justin Hakuta. Sources say it’s an amicable split, and the pair will continue to respectfully co-parent their two daughters. The comedian and actress, 39, who shot to fame with her Netflix comedy special “Baby Cobra,” first met Hakuta, 39, at a friend’s wedding reception in 2010.
Hakuta was a Fulbright scholar and student at Harvard Business School. Wong joked in her skit that she “trapped” him despite the tables later turning with her being the big moneymaker after her claim to fame. The couple dated for several years before marrying in San Francisco in 2014. They share daughters, Mari and Nikki.
Hakuta is the vice president of a multimillion-dollar technology company, GoodRx, and his father is “Dr. Fad.” The pair signed a prenup, and Wong is slated to appear in a 10-part dramedy with Oscar nominee Steven Yuen titled “Beef” for Netflix.
