‘Aladdin on Broadway’ celebrates eight years with a big surprise

One lucky guest won a dream vacation for four

“Aladdin on Broadway” celebrates eight years of Disney and musical magic this month. To honor this momentous occasion, Michael James Scott, who plays Genie, granted one lucky, surprised guest– the 888th ticket holder– with a cruise aboard Disney’s newest ship, the Disney Wish! Audience members didn’t know about the giveaway until it was announced during the curtain call in front of a sold-out audience. What a dream come true!

The Disney Wish will set out on its inaugural course this summer. “Aladdin on Broadway” has played over 2,681 performances, meaning Aladdin and Jasmine have flown over 88 miles together on the magic carpet!

“Aladdin” has broken 14 New Amsterdam Theatre house records and inspired the creation of eight productions on four continents. In October, a new North American tour will launch. The show is currently on Broadway in Japan, the Netherlands, Mexico, and Germany.
