A / VOID: Where Movement Speaks, Color Sings, and Emotions Glow

Step into a world where color becomes audible, and sound becomes visible — welcome to A / VOID, an immersive dance experience like no other, unfolding inside the Chromasonic Field in the heart of Downtown LA’s buzzing Arts District. A collaboration between visionary creators Comfort Fedoke and Zoe Rappaport, this dazzling work is equal parts sensory spectacle, emotional excavation, and community ritual.

Created entirely from the ground up — self-produced, self-funded, and driven by a powerhouse collective of artists — A / VOID isn’t just a performance. It’s a full-body invitation to feel, reflect, and release. Think of it as a portal: through movement, light, and sound, you’ll be guided through the spectrum of human emotion, discovering which stories you’re ready to carry forward and which ones you’re finally ready to leave behind.

Following the success of the shows on Saturday afternoon, Sunday, June 22, offers another opportunity for enthusiasts to be part of the unique experience. The fun starts at 3:30 pm (with a pre-show gathering and an extended post-show reflection). VIP guests will be treated to curated cocktails and light bites by Heirloom’s Matt Poley.

Inside the Chromasonic Field, nothing is ordinary. Developed by the minds at Chromasonic — pioneers in blending architecture, art, and neuroscience — this space enables visitors to “see sound” and “hear color” through their one-of-a-kind Refrequencing technology. It’s not just a cool trick. Studies show these immersive environments can actually impact your emotional and cognitive well-being. Adding dance to the mix is like healing in motion.

Sixteen fierce LA-based dancers are taking part in A / VOID. The cast includes DPAYNE, GBARI, MAZARIA, NAZAR, JULIOCESAR, ARIELLE BASH, JENNA LASPINAS, MORIAH MILLER, CHI CHI MOORE, GINA RECHUL, JESSE SMITH, SKY STOKES, AMBER TRAN, TAI RYAN WHITE , LILY BREEZE, and VICTORIA AYAD, who also serves as Head of Production.

The heartbeat of A / VOID lies in its radical authenticity. Emmy-winning dancer and filmmaker Comfort Fedoke — known for her unforgettable work on So You Think You Can Dance, Wicked, and Cabaret — joins forces with LA Times-recognized Creative Movement Director Zoe Rappaport. Together, they’ve choreographed more than just steps; they’ve crafted a call to presence. They’ve worked together with costume designer Lorae Russo, creating costumes made from recycled mono-materials (from RTV Return to Vendor), echoing the performance’s message of sustainable, ethical artistry.

“A / VOID is a living reminder of what it means to feel, to grieve, to hope, and to hold space for each other — especially in a time where so much tries to silence our truth. Movement is our communication,” says Fedoke.

A / VOID is more than performance. It’s community. It’s courage. It’s a reminder that “we’re all cut from the same cloth.” Your support not only funds the arts — it fuels healing.
