A Different World: Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet Split
It is the end of an era, and for many, quite the shock: Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet are separating
The longstanding couple has been together for over a decade and shares two children together. Momoa shared on Instagram that he and Bonet are “parting ways in marriage.”
The Aquaman and Dune star added, “We share this not because we think it’s newsworthy, But so that — as we go about our lives we may do so with dignity and honesty.”
The actress, who is 54, and Moma, 42, still appear to be on good terms following the breakup, stating that “The love between us carries on, evolving in ways it wishes to be known and lived. We free each other to be who we are learning to become….”
The pair married in October 2017, with Momoa becoming the stepfather to Zoe Kravitz, Bonet’s daughter with her ex-husband Lenny Kravitz. Momoa and Bonet have a son, Nakoa-Wolf, and daughter, Lola, together.
Momoa has been open about his admiration for Bonet and shared publicly how excited he was to be with the woman of his dreams. The couple has not walked a red carpet together in over two years. Among Momoa’s upcoming projects is Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, where he reprises his lead role in the superhero pic directed by James Wan.
